(Skill; Requires Wizard): Necromancy is the Dark Art, the forbidden power of death magic.
Overcome: Necromancy is often used for information-gathering by calling up the spirits of the dead to question or compel them. It can often be used in place of Lore or occasionally Contacts, depending on the subject matter.
Create an Advantage: Necromancy can create advantageous conditions such as “Haunted” or “Spooky” to aid in other tasks, or apply conditions to others such as “Possessed” or “Blighted.”
Attack: Necromancy can be used as a direct physical or mental attack by sucking the life from its victims. Defense is usually Physique.
Defend: Necromancy is rarely used to defend, except against Necromancy or Spiritualism attacks.
Life Reservoir (Necromancy Stunt) – You can use Necromancy to recover Physical Consequences, healing injuries with the life you have stolen from others.
Animate Dead (Necromancy Stunt) – If there are any dead remains in the area, then you may spend a fate point and roll necromancy to reanimate a nameless NPC skeleton or zombie (depending on the freshness and completeness of the remains; see below) for the remainder of the Scene, and gain a free invoke on one of that NPC’s Aspects. The difficulty of the roll is one shift higher than the competence level of the NPC.
